The only Nigerian movie – The Royal Hibiscus Hotel – scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) was finally screened over the weekend at Toronto, and the team behind the film ensured it was a success. The Royal Hibiscus Hotel is a movie by Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Films and is directed by Ishaya Bako.
They entered in style, trended on social media and represented the culture.

The special guests of honor were Mr. Foli Coker (DG – Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation) and his wife – Mrs. Aisha Foli Coker.
The Royal Hibiscus Hotel (TRHH) is a romantic comedy starring Kenneth Okolie, Zainab Balogun, OC Ukeje and Toni Tones. It also features Nollywood veterans like Olu Jacob, Joke Sylvia, and Jide Kosoko.

The movie has three premiere dates, the 9th, 11th and 17th of September. There is still no news on when it will premiere in Nigeria. I am thinking December, alongside the sequel of The Wedding Party.
