Watch Tope Oshin’s New Money Trailer

The makers of The Wedding Party 1 & 2, The Arbitration and the Taxi Driver – Inkblot and FilmOne – present New Money trailer. New Money is a comedy-drama written by Naz Onuzo.Naz is known for writing The Arbitration and The Wedding Party 2 (read review here). New Money is directed by Tope Oshin.

The movie tells the story of a girl, Toun Odumosu, who had her simple life disrupted by the arrival of her dad. She was “a shop girl with dreams of being a fashion designer, dating an unemployed security guard.”

Her life makes a 360 degree turn when her billionaire father comes into her life. New Money follows the journey of Toun Odumosu as she tries to adjust to her newfound wealth while juggling love and life, as she knew it before and now. “They say love conquers all things but when money is involved, we are not so sure.”

The comedy-drama stars Jemima Osunde as Toun, and Falz The Bhad Guy as her unemployed security guard boyfriend. The star-studded cast also includes Kate Henshaw, Femi Branch, Wofai Fada, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Wale Ojo, Osas Ighodaro Ajibade, Kalu Ikeagwu and Dakore Egbuson.

New Money sure looks like it is going to be a Nollywood Box Office hit, it has all the ingredients. It is produced by members of ELFIKE Film collectives, Naz Onuzo’s Inkblot Productions, and Filmone Ng. The comedy-drama has a star-studded cast. It is written and directed by Naz Onuzo and Tope Oshin respectively, they are not new to Box Office hits.
